I'm hoping to get some advice on my brother's bike.
He recently put a new clutch into his 2003 Suzuki SV650, and after about 150 miles, it's acting a little weird.
When he rolls on the throttle at low RPMs in 3rd or 4th gear, it feels like the clutch is slipping.
The revs go up, but there's a delay before the power really kicks in. It's like the RPMs run away for a second, then they grab.
He's been avoiding the issue by staying in the 6,500+ RPM range, and that seems to prevent it.
I've helped checking with the cable adjustments at the lever and down by the engine, but it still makes a slight grinding noise when he shifts into first sometimes.
So, is this normal or is this a sign that something is wrong?
Should we just take it off the road until we get it figured out? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
